Parquet flooring is a variety of wood flooring where small wood blocks or strips are installed alongside one another to produce a distinctive pattern over the whole of the floor. Parquet was historically installed with every individual strip meticulously laid, but modern parquet is available in larger tiles or planks to offer the same effect.
