Parquet flooring is a kind of wood flooring in which small wood blocks or strips are installed together to produce a distinctive pattern over the whole of the floor. Parquet was historically installed with each individual strip painstakingly laid, but modern parquet is available in larger tiles or planks to provide the same appearance.
