Olney
Olney is a market community and civil parish in the District of Milton Keynes in South East England. At the 2011 Census, it had a population of around 6,500 people. It pushes the River Great Ouse, very near to the boundaries of Buckinghamshire with Bedfordshire and also Northamptonshire, and equidistant from Northampton, Bedford as well as Milton Keynes. It is accessed by the M1 at Junction 14 (approximately seven miles), with the closest passenger rail service at Milton Keynes Central and Bedford railway stations (each about twelve miles distant). It is a preferred tourist location, maybe best understood for the Olney Pancake Race as well as for the Olney Hymns by William Cowper as well as John Newton.
