Parquet flooring is a type of wood flooring in which small wood blocks or strips are installed together to produce a distinctive pattern over the entirety of the floor. Parquet was traditionally installed with every individual strip painstakingly laid, but modern parquet is available in bigger tiles or planks to provide the same appearance.
