Cradley Heath
Cradley Heath is a village as well as ward in the Rowley Regis area of the district of Sandwell, West Midlands, England. It exists within the Black Country, concerning 2 1/2 miles (4.0 km) south of Dudley and 8 miles (13 kilometres) west of central Birmingham. Cradley Heath is commonly confused with adjoining Cradley in Halesowen, although both locations have long been in different local authorities, and up until 1966 remained in different regions. Cradley Heath is among a number of towns in main England still recognisable from their very early 20th-century appearance. A lot of the shops as well as houses in the High Street are still standing after 100 years, though some were demolished in the mid-2000s to give way for a bypass, to alleviate congestion in the town centre.
