Studley
Studley is a huge village and also civil parish in the Stratford-on-Avon area of Warwickshire, England. Positioned on the western edge of Warwickshire near the border with Worcestershire it is 4 miles (6 km) southeast of Redditch and also 13 miles (21 kilometres) northwest of Stratford-upon-Avon. The Roman road of Ryknild Street, currently the A435, passes through the town on its eastern side, alongside the River Arrow. The name derives from the Old English leah, being a field or pasture, where horses, stod, are maintained. Studley is in some cases declared to be the largest town in England, however, this is incorrect as it is not even the largest town in Warwickshire. Although Polesworth and also Bulkington are bigger, by population, they could be classified as a rural. The UK Census 2001 reported Studley's population as being 6,624, decreasing to 5,879 at the 2011 Census.
