Parquet flooring is a kind of wood flooring where small wood blocks or strips are installed alongside one another to create a distinctive design across the entirety of the floor. Parquet was historically installed with each individual strip carefully laid, but modern parquet can be purchased in larger tiles or planks to provide the same effect.
