Arundel
Arundel is a market community and civil parish in a high vale of the South Downs, West Sussex, England. The much-conserved town has a medieval castle as well as Roman Catholic basilica. Although smaller sized in populace than a lot of other churches, Arundel has a museum and also comes second behind a lot bigger Chichester in its variety of provided structures in West Sussex. The River Arun runs through the eastern side of the community. Arundel was one of the boroughs reformed by the Municipal Reform Act 1835. From 1836 to 1889 the community had its own District police force with a strength of three. In 1974 it entered into the Arun district, and is now a civil church with a town council. An electoral ward of the same name exists. This ward extends north to Houghton with a complete population at the 2011 census of 4,298.
