Parquet flooring is a variety of wood flooring in which small wood blocks or strips are installed alongside one another to generate a distinctive pattern across the entirety of the floor. Parquet was traditionally installed with each individual strip painstakingly laid, but modern parquet can be bought in bigger tiles or planks to offer the same effect.
