Parquet Flooring in Chertsey

Parquet flooring is a sort of wood flooring in which small wood blocks or strips are installed alongside one another to generate a distinctive pattern across the whole of the floor. Parquet was historically installed with each individual strip painstakingly laid, but modern parquet is available in larger tiles or planks to give the same appearance. Parquet floor is a very fashionable flooring product which is best suited for large rooms or hallways where the appealing pattern can be best showcased. Parquet is available in a multitude of different patterns, the most common of which are herringbone, chevron or checkerboard. Parquet can be manufactured from a wide range of different woods, but oak is the most popular, along with mahogany, maple and cherry. Modern parquet flooring may come in either solid wood or engineered wood types, the latter of which function several sheets of wood with a fibre board core and a top layer of the desired appearance of hardwood. Parquet flooring is durable and requires little maintenance. It is, however, not fit for areas that contain lots of moisture or humidity as the wood will warp or flex under these conditions. Parquet is generally installed utilising a series of tiles which are glued to the subfloor with an adhesive. An expert parquet flooring company will be able to advise you of the most appropriate wood types and styles for your home.

Chertsey

Chertsey is a town in the Runnymede borough of the English county of Surrey. It is situated on the right bank of the River Thames where it meets a corollary, the Abbey River plus a tributary, the River Bourne. According to the 2011 Census, the town has a population of about 15967. Being inside a narrow projection of the Greater London Urban Area, encompassed by the Thames and the M25, as well as possessing a branch line railway, travelling 29 miles to central London is made fairly simple for the town's residents, making Chertsey a commuter town. The town is home to quite a few historic landmarks. Chertsey's built-up area comprises the mediaeval tower and chancel roof of its Anglican church, a sizeable curfew bell, and listed buildings dating back to the 1700s, including the local pedestrian bridge and Botleys Mansion. Surrounding the landmarks are many independent and commercial chain companies, offering a wide variety of hotels, cafes, gift shops, public houses and restaurants, as well as a church and a museum. The museum hosts the Black Cherry Fair each year, which contains live music performances and refreshments in the museum garden. As a result of the substantial amounts of open field and green spaces within the town, additional entertainment is supplied for residents by the sports and playing fields, the Thames Path National Trail, Chertsey Meads and a round knoll referred to as St. Ann's Hill. A specifically desirable amusement for residents and visitors is Thorpe Park, a theme park connected to the town by a regular bus service and Chertsey station. For all your residence upgrades, make sure that you employ trustworthy pros in Chertsey to make sure that you get the very best quality.
