Frizington
Frizington is a village in Cumbria, England. Historically, it was a collection of ranches and houses, but became a combined town as a result of the mining (both coal and also iron ore) opportunities in the area. The village is recognized for its church, which was integrated in 1867-1868. Historically a part of Cumberland, Frizington remains in the civil parish of Arlecdon and also Frizington, which has a population of 3,678, the District of Copeland as well as the CA postcode area. On 2 June 2010, Frizington was the scene of the 2nd murder in the killing spree known as the Cumbria shootings, when Derrick Bird shot his household lawyer, Kevin Commons. Stephen Holgate, a specialist rugby league player with a variety of clubs, originated from Frizington.
