Parquet flooring is a type of wood flooring where small wood blocks or strips are installed alongside one another to create a distinctive pattern over the whole of the floor. Parquet was historically installed with every individual strip painstakingly laid, but modern parquet can be purchased in bigger tiles or planks to give the same effect.
