Parquet flooring is a variety of wood flooring where small wood blocks or strips are installed alongside one another to generate a distinctive design across the whole of the floor. Parquet was traditionally installed with every individual strip painstakingly laid, but modern parquet is available in larger tiles or planks to give the same effect.
