I'd like a quote to supply and fit a 16m2 parquet floor over new concrete substrate.
Parquet flooring is a sort of wood flooring in which small wood blocks or strips are installed alongside one another to generate a distinctive design over the entirety of the floor. Parquet was historically installed with each individual strip meticulously laid, but modern parquet can be purchased in larger tiles or planks to provide the same effect. Parquet floor is a very elegant flooring option which is best suited for large rooms or hallways where the attractive design can be best showcased. Parquet comes in a multitude of different patterns, the most common of which are herringbone, chevron or checkerboard. Parquet may also be manufactured from a wide variety of different woods, but oak is the most common, along with mahogany, maple and cherry. Modern parquet flooring may come in either solid wood or engineered wood variations, the latter of which feature several sheets of wood with a fibre board core and a top layer of the desired appearance of hardwood. Parquet flooring is durable and demands little maintenance. It is, however, inappropriate for areas that contain lots of moisture or humidity as the wood will warp or flex under these conditions. Parquet is generally installed using a number of tiles which are glued to the subfloor with an adhesive. A specialist parquet floor company can suggest the most appropriate wood types and patterns for your home.
The typical cost of Parquet flooring is £2000. Costs differ based on the materials and the provider selected. The upper price range can be as high as £2300. The material costs are mainly approximately £500
