Dalbeattie
Dalbeattie is a town in the historical area of Kirkcudbrightshire in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. Dalbeattie is in a woody valley on the Urr Water 6 km (4 mi) eastern of Castle Douglas and also 19 km (12 mi) south west of Dumfries. The town is famous for its granite industry and for being the home community of William McMaster Murdoch, the First Officer of the RMS Titanic. The Dalbeattie War Memorial was made by Pilkington Jackson and also was revealed in 1921.
