Dalbeattie
Dalbeattie is a town in the historic county of Kirkcudbrightshire in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. Dalbeattie is in a wooded valley on the Urr Water 6 kilometres (4 mi) east of Castle Douglas and also 19 kilometres (12 mi) south west of Dumfries. The community is renowned for its granite market and for being the home town of William McMaster Murdoch, the First Officer of the RMS Titanic. The Dalbeattie War Memorial was made by Pilkington Jackson and also was introduced in 1921.
