Langholm
Langholm is a burgh in Dumfries as well as Galloway in southern Scotland. Langholm exists in between four hills in the valley of the River Esk in the Southern Uplands. It is the traditional seat of Clan Armstrong with its most popular descendant being Neil Armstrong, the initial man to walk on the Moon. In 1972 he accepted face to face being bestowed the initial Freeman as well as Honorary Burgess of the burgh of Langholm. On accepting the distinction he stated, "The most challenging place to be acknowledged remains in one's residence community. As well as I consider this currently my home community.
