Dalbeattie
Dalbeattie is a community in the historical county of Kirkcudbrightshire in Dumfries and also Galloway, Scotland. Dalbeattie is in a wooded valley on the Urr Water 6 km (4 mi) eastern of Castle Douglas and 19 km (12 mi) south west of Dumfries. The town is renowned for its granite industry and also for being the house community of William McMaster Murdoch, the First Officer of the RMS Titanic. The Dalbeattie War Memorial was developed by Pilkington Jackson and also was introduced in 1921.
