Newton Stewart
Newton Stewart is a former burgh community in the historical county of Wigtownshire in Dumfries and also Galloway, southwest Scotland. The community is on the River Cree with the majority of the community to the west of the river, and also is in some cases described as the "Gateway to the Galloway Hills". The major local sectors are farming, forestry as well as tourist. The community hosts a local market, and a number of solutions to sustain the farming industry. There are numerous mountain cycling tracks in the location. Newton Stewart rests on the southerly side of the Galloway Forest Park, which supplies many tasks to the community. Newton Stewart FC, nicknamed the "Creesiders" play in the South of Scotland league, their ground is called Blairmount Park.
