Stocksfield
Stocksfield is a tiny, yet sprawling traveler town situated near to the River Tyne, concerning 14 miles (23 kilometres) west of Newcastle upon Tyne in the southerly part of Northumberland, England. There are several smaller areas within the parish of Stocksfield, consisting of Branch End, New Ridley, Broomley, Hindley as well as the Painshawfield Estate. Other villages in Stocksfield's postal area include Bywell, Newton, Mickley, and also Hedley on the Hill. Stocksfield remains in the parliamentary constituency of Hexham. At a regional level it is governed by Stocksfield Parish Council. On 11 January 2019 the name of the parish was officially transformed from "Broomley and Stocksfield" to Stocksfield, showing advancements in the area and changes in population for many years.
