Want to fence off side garden, also put in a base for a shed if you also do that?
Interested in getting fencing installed in Berwick-upon-tweed? By using the Quotatis service you can compare and contrast up to four fence contractors in order to get the very best deal available for the job you want.
Fencing is very important for all homes whether it's the front or back garden. From maintenance work to a total installation of new fencing, employing a trustworthy company is highly recommended to get the very best price available.
Fencing work as a perimeter to our properties and with an installation you'll add protection to your house and stop easy access to your back garden. Back garden fences are typically around six feet high, which right away will make it tougher for intruders to gain access.
Decorative fences or wooden picket fencing will often be best suited for the front garden, where security isn't as important. Instead, you're more likely to pick a front garden fence particularly for decoration in order to add something different.
For whatever style of fencing you're looking to have installed, ensure that you use our totally free and no obligation service to get the best deal available in Berwick-upon-tweed.
The regular cost of a new or replacement fence is approximately £20-£45 per foot, not including removing your existing fence which could cost an extra £5-10 per foot. The labour costs depend on the length and height of your fence, the number of posts and the material used. It will also differ among regions, so it's best to get a few quotes to see what the best price is in your area.

Berwick-upon-Tweed is a town inside the county of Northumberland. It is the northernmost town in England. It's located 2.5 miles (4 km) to the south of the Scottish border, at the mouth of the River Tweed, on the east coast . It's about 56 miles (90 kilometres) south east of Edinburgh, 65 miles (105 km) north of Newcastle upon Tyne and 345 miles (555 kilometres) north of London. The 2011 UK Census recorded Berwick's population as about 12,000. A civil parish and town council were created in 2008. The origins of Berwick are as an Anglo-Saxon settlement through the time of the Kingdom of Northumbria, which was annexed by England in the tenth century. The area was, for over 400 years, central to historic border wars between the Kingdoms of England and Scotland, and a number of occasions possession of Berwick was swapped between the two kingdoms. The final time it changed hands was when England retook it in 1482. Berwick remains a traditional market town and also has some notable architectural features, for instance its medieval town walls, Elizabethan ramparts and Britain's earliest barracks buildings. Slightly more than 60% of the population is employed in the service sector, such as shops, hotels and catering, financial services and most government activity, such as health care. About 13% is in manufacturing, 10% in agriculture, and 8% in building. Some present and recent Berwick economic activities include salmon fishing, shipbuilding, engineering, sawmilling, fertilizer production, malting and the manufacturing of tweed and hosiery. For all of your property improvement jobs, make certain that you employ trustworthy specialists in Berwick-upon-Tweed to ensure you get the top quality service.

Not if they are under 1 metre high if next to a road or 2 metres high elsewhere. It’s always recommended to check with your neighbours and the local authority if you are unsure. Other restrictions may apply, for example if a fence might impact driver visibility on nearby roads.
If there’s a fence dividing yours and your neighbour’s properties that needs maintaining or replacing, you’ll want to know who owns it. Start by checking your deeds to see if there’s an existing boundary agreement. If there isn’t, have a chat with them to see if you can come to an arrangement yourselves.
Properly erected fences shouldn’t require a great deal of maintenance. Any rotting boards can usually be replaced without replacing the whole panel. Timber fencing should be stained every 2-3 years. General maintenance is something you can carry out yourself, however, larger works may need a qualified professional to come in.
When it comes to fence ownership and responsibility, this is often a subject of dispute between neighbours and understandably so. Owning a fence comes with a number of responsibilities such as arranging and paying for the maintenance and more. Therefore, if you’re not yet sure who owns the garden fence, then you’d probably want to have that sorted to make sure your property stays protected at all times. In this post, we’re going to give you an insight into some of the rules guiding fence ownership in order to help you make informed decisions. Let’s take a look!
There’s no rule of thumb on whether you own the fence on the right hand or the left hand side of your property. Therefore, if you’ve heard any “rules that states otherwise, you can fling that out the window because not everyone will own the left hand side to their fence. The first way to determine who owns the garden fence or which side of the fence you’re responsible for is simply by looking. Although this is not guaranteed or a definite way to determine ownership, it can go a long way to give you a good idea. As you would have expected, fences are most likely built on the land that belongs to the boundary’s owner with the further edge of the fence making the actual boundary. As a result, you can determine a fence ownership simply by identifying where the frames are.
Also, you can determine fence ownership using the title deeds for an official and accurate answer. A copy should be given alongside your paperwork which is received when purchasing your house.
We can help you get more wooden fencing work with our qualified job leads and boost your business.
