Riding Mill
Riding Mill is a town near Hexham in Northumberland, England. It belongs to the civil parish of Broomhaugh as well as Riding. It is served by Riding Mill railway station and by a constant bus solution on the path from Hexham to Newcastle. Riding Mill is remarkable as the location of Riding Mill pumping station. Up till right here the water released from Kielder Water uses the River Tyne yet at Riding Mill it is pumped to parts of Tyne and Wear and also over the hills to Teesside. Leaving the village towards Hexham, Hollin Hill Terrace is located on the left. Very little information is available on these 8 houses yet they are a fine example of Victorian style. This balcony was disappointed on maps of the area prior to 1850, however show up on a map dated between 1850/1894. Throughout 2008 the town was called the most costly place to live outdoors London.
