Barnard Castle
Barnard Castle is a market community in Teesdale, Area Durham, England. It is called after the castle around which it was constructed. It is the main negotiation in the Teesdale area, and also is a preferred visitor location. The Bowes Museum has the best collection of European penalty as well as attractive arts in the North of England, housed in a splendid 19th-century French-style chateau. Its most well-known display is the 18th-century Silver Swan automaton, though art includes work by Goya and El Greco. Barnard Castle rests on the north financial institution of the River Tees, opposite Startforth as well as 21 miles (34 km) south-west of the county town of Durham. It is in the North East England region, which acts as a constituency for the European Parliament. In between 1894 and 1967 the town was administratively part of Barnard Castle Urban District.
