Parquet flooring is a type of wood flooring where small wood blocks or strips are installed together to generate a distinctive design across the whole of the floor. Parquet was traditionally installed with every individual strip painstakingly laid, but modern parquet is available in bigger tiles or planks to offer the same appearance.
