Parquet Flooring in Blaydon-on-tyne

Parquet flooring is a type of wood flooring in which small wood blocks or strips are installed alongside one another to generate a distinctive design across the whole of the floor. Parquet was traditionally installed with each individual strip painstakingly laid, but modern parquet can be purchased in bigger tiles or planks to give the same appearance. Parquet floor is an extremely fashionable flooring option which works best in large rooms or hallways where the eye-catching design can be best displayed. Parquet comes in numerous different patterns, the most common of which are herringbone, chevron or checkerboard. Parquet can also be manufactured from an enormous range of different woods, but oak is the most popular, followed by mahogany, maple and cherry. Modern parquet floor can come in either solid wood or engineered wood varieties, the latter of which incorporate several layers of wood with a fibre board core and a top layer of the desired appearance of hardwood. Parquet floor is durable and needs little maintenance. It is, however, inappropriate for areas that contain lots of moisture or humidity as the wood will warp or flex under these conditions. Parquet is commonly installed utilising a series of tiles which are glued to the subfloor with an adhesive. A specialist parquet floor company will be able to advise you of the most suitable wood types and styles for your home.

Blaydon-on-tyne

The town of Blaydon-on-Tyne is in the North East of England within the Metropolitan Borough of Gateshead. It was traditionally in County Durham. As recorded in the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent population of around 15,155, which is a considerable increase from the approximately 14,500 people recorded in the 2001 Census. Blaydon experienced an extensive programme of housing regeneration between 2009 and 2014. This consisted of the improvement of new developments at High View close to the Winlaton-Blaydon border, by the riverside on the site of the former Stella South power station, and at Axwell Gardens, near to the already current Axwell Park estate. Initially, the powerhouse of the Industrial Revolution in Gateshead, Blaydon's traditional industry is coal mining. On account of the decrease of mining during the 1950s and 1960s, Blaydon now contains a much more diversified set of industries. A number of the town's inhabitants are involved in engineering and manufacturing, as well as having a modest number of commuting professionals. Numerous corporations work in the offices in Blaydon Haughs, called 'The Spike', which is on the banks of the River Tyne. There are many shopping opportunities for tourists in Blaydon's shopping centre, known as the precinct. A brutalist structure from the 1970s, it incorporates most of the town's significant retailers, which are typically branches of commercial chain stores, together with food and grocery outlets. The town also boasts a quantity of landmarks. Stella Hall, dating back to 1143 when there was a nunnery on the site, is a listed building, and Anxwell Hall, built in 1761, is to undergo conversion into household flats. For all of your house upgrades, be certain that you utilise reputable professionals in Blaydon-on-Tyne to ensure that you get the top quality service.
