Stansted
Stansted Mountfitchet is an English town and civil parish in Uttlesford area, Essex, near the Hertfordshire border, 35 miles (56 km) north of London. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 5,533, enhancing to 6,011 at the 2011 census. The town is offered by Stansted Mountfitchet train station. Stansted Mountfitchet is positioned in north west Essex near the Hertfordshire border and also 3 miles (5 km) north of Bishop's Stortford. Stansted Airport is 2 miles (3 kilometres) from the village. The town has 3 primary schools (Bentfield Primary School, St Mary's (C of E) Primary School and Magna Carta Primary Academy), as well as one senior high school which was relabelled the Forest Hall School in September, 2013.
