Frizington is a town in Cumbria, England. Historically, it was a collection of farms and homes, yet became a merged village as a result of the mining (both coal as well as iron ore) chances in the area. The village is understood for its church, which was constructed in 1867-1868. Historically a part of Cumberland, Frizington is in the civil parish of Arlecdon and Frizington, which has a population of 3,678, the Borough of Copeland as well as the CA postcode area. On 2 June 2010, Frizington was the scene of the 2nd murder in the murder spree called the Cumbria shootings, when Derrick Bird fired his household lawyer, Kevin Commons. Stephen Holgate, an expert rugby league player with a number of clubs, came from Frizington.
