Signs of rising damp tend to be close to the ground, usually no higher than a metre. It usually works its way up walls in horizontal lines. Penetrating damp usually develops in patches and can often be much higher up. For more advice, speak to a damp proofing professional.
Forsinard
Forsinard is a community in the region of Sutherland in the Highland location of Scotland. It lies on the A897 road in Strath Halladale. It is offered by a railway terminal on the Far North Line. The neighborhood hotel closed a number of years back, but there is currently a b & b just across the degree crossing. Forsinard is located in the Flow Country, an area of peat bog which straddles the borders of Caithness and Sutherland. The 13,000-hectare (33,000-acre) Fosinard estate was acquired in 1977 by Basil Baird. The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds runs a 154 km2 (38,000-acre) nature reserve and a visitor centre at Forsinard. The Forsinard Flows national nature book attracts a large variety of birds and wild animals.
