Caersws
Caersws is a town as well as neighborhood on the River Severn, in the Welsh region of Powys (Montgomeryshire) 5 miles (8 kilometres) west of Newtown, and also midway in between Aberystwyth and Shrewsbury. It has a station on the Cambrian Line from Aberystwyth to Shrewsbury. At the 2001 census it had a population of 1,526, raising a little to 1,586 at the 2011 Census. In modern Welsh, Caersws literally implies "Ft Kiss", although sws almost certainly stems from some other resource. It has actually been argued that the site may maintain a Roman-era devotion to Zeus or preserve the name of a conjectured British queen Swswen.
