Llandrindod Wells
Llandrindod Wells is a community and also community in Powys, within the historical boundaries of Radnorshire, Wales. It acts as the seat of Powys County Council as well as therefore the administrative centre of Powys. It was created as a health club town in the 19th century, with a boom in the late 20th century as a centre of city government. Prior to the 1860s the site of the town was common land in Llanfihangel Cefn-llys parish. Llandrindod Wells is the 5th largest community in Powys, and the biggest in Radnorshire. In a 2018 study embarked on by Rightmove, Llandrindod was voted the Happiest Area in Wales. A study by the Royal Mail over the Easter 2018 period showed that Llandrindod had the highest possible on the internet shopping rates for that duration in the whole of the nation.
