Lifton
Lifton is a town and civil church in Devon, South West England near the assemblage of the rivers Wolf and also Lyd, 1 1/4 miles southern of the A30 trunk roadway as well as very near the boundary in between Devon and also Cornwall. The town belongs to the electoral ward of Thrushel. The population of the bordering Thrushel ward (which includes the village of Thrushelton to the east of Lifton) at the 2011 census was 1680. The town was bypassed by the A30 in 1993, and today, unusually for such a tiny location, Lifton is a post town and has a number of young people football groups. It also has the 1st Lifton Sea Scouts.
