Lifton
Lifton is a town as well as civil church in Devon, South West England near the confluence of the rivers Wolf and also Lyd, 1 1/4 miles southern of the A30 trunk road and very near the border in between Devon as well as Cornwall. The village belongs to the selecting ward of Thrushel. The population of the bordering Thrushel ward (which includes the village of Thrushelton to the east of Lifton) at the 2011 census was 1680. The town was bypassed by the A30 in 1993, as well as today, uncommonly for such a tiny area, Lifton is a post community and also has a number of youth football groups. It also has the 1st Lifton Sea Scouts.
