In need of wooden fencing installers in Ludlow? Our wooden fence contractors in Ludlow will give you the best quotations for having wood fencing installed.
Fencing is needed both for residential and commercial buildings for several reasons. It provides a boundary for back gardens and private land, acting as a measure of privacy or to keep people and animals in or out.
Perks of wood fencing include further house protection and visual appeal. By having a fence in place, it becomes tougher for burglars to get into your home and garden. Be certain to select a design that will look good too, particularly if for household purposes.
We can provide you as many as 4 wooden fencing fitters in the area, who can supply quotations for the work you wish completed. You'll be given a home visit from professionals in Ludlow who'll help you select the right design for your house before completing the installation.
The fitting of a wood fence takes less than one day to complete, depending on the size of area you'd like protected.
The regular cost of a new or replacement fence is approximately £20-£45 per foot, not including removing your existing fence which could cost an extra £5-10 per foot. The labour costs depend on the length and height of your fence, the number of posts and the material used. It will also differ among regions, so it's best to get a few quotes to see what the best price is in your area.

Ludlow is a market town in the English county of Shropshire. It lies approximately 28 miles (45 kilometres) south of Shrewsbury and 23 miles (37 km) north of Hereford using the main A49 road, which bypasses the town. According to the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent population of around 10266 people. This makes Ludlow the largest town in south Shropshire. The town is important in the history of the Welsh Marches and neighbouring Wales. The town is in close proximity to the convergence of the rivers Corve and Teme. The earliest part is the medieval walled town, founded in the late 11th century after the Norman conquest of England. It is centred on a little hill which rests on the eastern edge of a bend of the River Teme. Atop this hill is Ludlow Castle and the parish church, St Laurence's, the largest in the county. From there, the streets drop downward to the River Teme, and northward toward the River Corve. The town rests in a sheltered area beneath Mortimer Forest and the Clee Hills, which are clearly visible from the town. Ludlow is home to roughly 500 listed structures. They consist of some great examples of medieval and Tudor-style half-timbered structures including the Feathers Hotel. The town was depicted by Sir John Betjeman as 'probably the loveliest town in England'. By the late 20th century, the town had seen a growth in tourism, triggering the aesthetics of lots of antique dealers, together with art dealers and independent bookshops. Bodenhams, a clothing shop, has actually been trading from a 600-year-old timbered building since 1860 and it is one of the oldest stores in Britain. For all of your home improvements, make sure to identify dependable professionals in Ludlow to make certain of quality.

Speaking to the owners of the neighbouring properties is recommended. If you are still unsure, you may need to check the original deeds to the property. Generally the rule is that you are responsible for the fence at the right hand side of your property.
If there’s a fence dividing yours and your neighbour’s properties that needs maintaining or replacing, you’ll want to know who owns it. Start by checking your deeds to see if there’s an existing boundary agreement. If there isn’t, have a chat with them to see if you can come to an arrangement yourselves.
Properly erected fences shouldn’t require a great deal of maintenance. Any rotting boards can usually be replaced without replacing the whole panel. Timber fencing should be stained every 2-3 years. General maintenance is something you can carry out yourself, however, larger works may need a qualified professional to come in.
Not if they are under 1 metre high if next to a road or 2 metres high elsewhere. It’s always recommended to check with your neighbours and the local authority if you are unsure. Other restrictions may apply, for example if a fence might impact driver visibility on nearby roads.
