Rogart is a small village in Sutherland, Highland, Scotland. The village was the house of Major Andrew MacDonald, who dealt with in the French and also Indian War. It was initially a spread crofting town, until the opening of the Rogart railway station at Pittentrail 1 1/2 miles (2.4 km) to the southeast. A more recent industrial village expanded after the arrival of the railway in 1886, with the older village staying. The village of Golspie is 9 miles (14 km) eastern of Rogart.
