Burgess Hill
Burgess Hill is really a civil parish plus a town mainly situated in the Mid Sussex district of West Sussex, England, near the border with East Sussex, on the edge of the South Downs National Park. Positioned 62 km (39 mi) south of London, 16 km (9.9 mi) north of Brighton and Hove, and 47 km (29 mi) east-northeast of the county town of Chichester, it occupies an area of 9.47 km2 (3.66 sq mi) and had a populace of 28,803 at the time of the 2001 Census, making it the most populous parish within the district. Other nearby towns include Haywards Heath to the north east and Lewes, the county town of East Sussex, to the south east.
