Edenbridge
Edenbridge is a community and civil parish in the Sevenoaks district of Kent, England. Its name originates from Old English Eadhelmsbrigge (meaning "Eadhelm's Bridge"). It is located on the Kent/ Surrey verge on the top floodplain of the River Medway and provides its name to the latter's tributary, the River Eden. The community has a population of around 9,000. Edenbridge is twinned with Mont-Saint-Aignan in France. The bypass that was integrated in the early 2000s to relieve traffic pressure on the old, slim High Street is named Mont St Aignan Way. There are two banks in the town, a post office next to the church and also a variety of major retail chains. Regardless of being a reasonably town, Edenbridge flaunts its very own hospital - The Edenbridge War Memorial Hospital. At first a home healthcare facility constructed to take care of soldiers returning from The First World War, an objective constructed building was developed to the south of the community in 1931. With an Out Patients Department, Physical rehabilitation centers and a Minor Injuries Unit the hospital is a major part of the fabric of the community. In the last few years the healthcare facility has actually been faced with closure sometimes, on each celebration it has been conserved by regional advocates and townspeople, that see the health center as an essential part of the area.
