Pencader
Pencader is a little town in the Welsh region of Carmarthenshire, and belongs to the Area and Parish of Llanfihangel-ar-Arth. It lies around 3 miles (5 kilometres) south-east of Llandysul as well as 6.5 miles (10 km) south-west of Llanybydder, in the valley of the Gwen creek, quickly prior to the assemblage with the River Talog, to develop the River Tyweli (a tributary of the Teifi). It is a silent town with bit more than 500 homes, 2 stores, and also 2 clubs. Pencader's history goes back a long way. For years, it was just one of the major stops on the Carmarthen - Aberystwyth rail path, and was the joint for the service to Newcastle Emlyn; the Pencader Tunnel made it possible for services to get to Carmathen through Llanpumsaint. The decline of the trains saw the Newcastle Emlyn branch line enclosed 1952 as well as the main line closed to passengers in 1965.
