Pencader
Pencader is a tiny village in the Welsh area of Carmarthenshire, as well as becomes part of the Area and Parish of Llanfihangel-ar-Arth. It lies around 3 miles (5 kilometres) south-east of Llandysul and 6.5 miles (10 km) south-west of Llanybydder, in the valley of the Gwen creek, shortly prior to the assemblage with the River Talog, to develop the River Tyweli (a tributary of the Teifi). It is a peaceful town with little more than 500 houses, 2 shops, as well as 2 clubs. Pencader's history returns a long way. For many years, it was among the major stops on the Carmarthen - Aberystwyth rail route, and also was the junction for the service to Newcastle Emlyn; the Pencader Tunnel made it possible for services to reach Carmathen using Llanpumsaint. The decrease of the railways saw the Newcastle Emlyn branch line enclosed 1952 as well as the main line near travelers in 1965.
