Fleetwood
Fleetwood is a town within the Wyre district of Lancashire, England, resting in the northwest part of the Fylde. It had a populace of 26,840 people at the 2001 Census. It forms part of the Greater Blackpool conurbation. The town was the first planned community of the period. For a lot of of the 20th century, Fleetwood was a prominent deep-sea fishing port, although, since the 1970s, the fishing industry has diminished precipitously and the town has undergone economic difficulties. Fleetwood is in addition a shore holiday resort, in the role of a relaxing comparison to nearby Blackpool.
