Jedburgh
Jedburgh is a community as well as former royal burgh in the Scottish Boundaries and the traditional county town of the historic region of Roxburghshire. Jedburgh rests on the Jed Water, a tributary of the River Teviot. It is 10 miles (16 km) from the boundary with England, and is dominated by the significant ruins of Jedburgh Abbey. Various other remarkable structures in the town include Queen Mary's House, Jedburgh Castle Jail, now a museum, as well as the Jedburgh Collection. Various other places nearby are Ancrum, Bairnkine, Bonjedward, Camptown, Crailing, Edgerston, Ferniehirst Castle, Nisbet and also Oxnam.
