Gorebridge
Gorebridge is a previous mining village in Midlothian, Scotland. The town obtains its name from the bridge throughout the River Gore, a tributary of the South Esk. It was the home of Scotland's initial gunpowder mill, at the Gore Water, that began operating in 1794. Gorebridge has an annual Gala Day which constantly takes place on the 3rd Saturday in June.
