Blakeney
Blakeney is a town in Gloucestershire, England. It is the largest village in the church of Awre as well as has views of the Woodland of Dean. It was the site of a Roman suite, dating to 75 AD, as well as house to Thomas Sternhold, a groom of King Henry VIII's Robes. The local manor house is Hayes Manor, Viney Hillside. Hawfield Home on Newnham Roadway was developed c. 1790. The parish lies in the Awre electoral ward, which includes the towns of Awre and Blakeney. The population at the 2011 census was 1,714.
