Blakeney
Blakeney is a village in Gloucestershire, England. It is the biggest village in the parish of Awre and has views of the Forest of Dean. It was the website of a Roman suite, dating to 75 AD, and also residence to Thomas Sternhold, a groom of King Henry VIII's Bathrobes. The neighborhood manor house is Hayes Manor, Viney Hill. Hawfield House on Newnham Roadway was constructed c. 1790. The church depends on the Awre electoral ward, that includes the villages of Awre as well as Blakeney. The population at the 2011 census was 1,714.
