Jedburgh
Jedburgh is a community as well as former royal burgh in the Scottish Borders as well as the standard county town of the historic county of Roxburghshire. Jedburgh rests on the Jed Water, a tributary of the River Teviot. It is 10 miles (16 km) from the boundary with England, and also is dominated by the substantial ruins of Jedburgh Abbey. Various other remarkable structures in the town include Queen Mary's House, Jedburgh Castle Jail, currently a gallery, and the Jedburgh Collection. Other areas close by are Ancrum, Bairnkine, Bonjedward, Camptown, Crailing, Edgerston, Ferniehirst Castle, Nisbet as well as Oxnam.
