Jedburgh
Jedburgh is a town as well as former royal burgh in the Scottish Boundaries and also the conventional county town of the historical region of Roxburghshire. Jedburgh lies on the Jed Water, a tributary of the River Teviot. It is 10 miles (16 km) from the border with England, and also is dominated by the substantial damages of Jedburgh Abbey. Various other notable buildings in the town consist of Queen Mary's House, Jedburgh Castle Jail, currently a gallery, and the Jedburgh Library. Other places close by are Ancrum, Bairnkine, Bonjedward, Camptown, Crailing, Edgerston, Ferniehirst Castle, Nisbet and Oxnam.
