Canonbie
Canonbie (population 390) is a tiny town in Dumfriesshire within the regional authority area of Dumfries and also Galloway in Scotland, 6 miles south of Langholm as well as two miles north of the Anglo-Scottish boundary. It is on the A7 roadway from Carlisle to Edinburgh, and the River Esk flows through it. There are regular references in older records to it as Canobie.
