Annan
Annan is a town and former royal burgh in Dumfries and Galloway, south-west Scotland. Historically part of Dumfriesshire, its public structures consist of Annan Academy, of which the author Thomas Carlyle was a student, as well as a Georgian building now called "Bridge House". The City center was constructed in Victorian design in 1878, making use of the local sandstone. Annan also includes a Historic Resources Centre.
