Appleby-in-westmorland
Appleby-in-Westmorland is a market community and civil parish in the Eden area, in the administrative region of Cumbria, in North West England. The parish had a populace of 3,048 in 2011. It depends on a loophole of the River Eden in the historical region of Westmorland, of which it was the county town. Its name was just Appleby till the local government modifications of 1974. When a successor church was developed from the previous borough, the council transformed its name to tape-record that of the historic county.
