Parquet flooring is a variety of wood flooring in which small wood blocks or strips are installed alongside one another to produce a distinctive design across the whole of the floor. Parquet was traditionally installed with every individual strip painstakingly laid, but modern parquet can be purchased in larger tiles or planks to offer the same appearance.
