Painting / Decorating in Chigwell

Interior painting can be a really economical technique to refresh the interior of your house. Painting is often undertaken as a DIY job, but qualified painters and decorators can make sure the best finish and guarantee that your redecorating will look its best for as long as possible.

You will typically spend more time preparing to paint than actually painting. It's essential to clean and prepare all wall surfaces and ceilings prior to painting, as well as to mask off any areas that shouldn't be painted over such as skirting, architrave, plug sockets and light switches. Protect furnishings and any carpets or flooring in the area with dust sheets to catch any spills. When painting inside, use a primer coat as a base then multiple layers of paint, giving each layer time to dry in between.

Interior painters and decorators can provide you with plenty of guidance about paint and help you choose the most suitable colour palette for your interior spaces.

Chigwell is a civil parish and town inside the Epping Forest district of Essex. It's positioned on an outlying suburb of London, situated 12 miles (19 kilometres) north-east of Charing Cross. Along with the adjoining suburban areas of Loughton and Buckhurst Hill, Chigwell forms part of the area referred to as the 'golden triangle' of Essex. The hamlet of Chigwell Row lies towards the east of Chigwell, close to Lambourne. This section of the parish is densely forested and predominantly rural. Grange Hill is the location surrounding the junction of Manor Road and Fencepiece Road/Hainault Road, spreading as far as the boundary with Redbridge and the Limes Farm estate. Chigwell has a population of about 12500 and is commonly viewed as a wealthy location, which since the TV series Essex Wives, journalists have called (with Loughton and Buckhurst Hill), the Essex golden triangle. The town is characterised by big suburban homes, notably in Manor Road, Hainault Road and Chigwell High Road, which featured in the popular English situation comedy Birds of a Feather. You can find numerous sports and leisure facilities readily available to the town's 12987 residents. A David Lloyd Leisure Centre is situated off Roding Road by the M11 motorway, which contains indoor and outdoor tennis courts, swimming pools and gymnasium. Also in the area are a Holmes Place Health Club, Topgolf playing Centre and Chigwell Golf Club. Chigwell Cricket Club is based in the Old Chigwellians Club in Roding Lane. You'll find two pubs, The King William IV and the Two Brewers. There is a Local Nature Reserve at Roding Valley Meadows off Roding Lane which follows the River Roding up to Loughton. For all of your home upgrades, ensure that that you employ trustworthy pros in Chigwell to ensure that you get the very best quality.

✓ Wash the wall with the help of a damp sponge. A sugar soap or diluted washing up liquid will work just fine.

✓ Tape the edges of objects you do not wish to paint like light switches, plug sockets and the likes.

• This step can be skipped if painting on an existing paint, but it’ll advisable to dilute small quantity of your selected paint to patch prime the holes that you’ve filled. If you have a large number of holes that was filled, then priming them would be smart.

• Mix or stir the paint thoroughly in a paint kettle to ensure an even and perfect mix.
